Regardless how many documents and manuals vendors publish, there will be always gaps in knowledge. All those gaps are mostly overcame by independent technical influencers and evangelists. These persons are writing blogs, speaking on conferences, making videos... This is the list of the most famous technical evangelists by solution. This is not the final list. If you have suggestions about some other technical experts, please add them in Discussion page.

A technology evangelist is a person who builds a critical mass of support for a given technology, and then establishes it as a technical standard in a market that is subject to network effects.[1] The word evangelism is borrowed from the context of religious evangelism (which is sharing of the good news of Jesus Christ) due to the similarity of sharing information about the benefits of a concept with the intention of having others adopt that concept. This is typically accomplished by showcasing the potential uses and benefits of a technology to help others understand how they can use it for themselves. Technology evangelists usually take a leadership role in organizations. They are the respective leader ensuring the success of others. Their action needs to be taken in a legitimate manner.[1] The purpose of objective that technology evangelists attached to usually generate positive effects to help people feel better or impressed. To promote the technology product or idea, technology evangelists usually requires a commitment to the management of the corporation.

Salesforce[edit]

The world of Salesforce would be incomplete without its millions of community members. Whether people are actively seeking to get better at using Salesforce through the Trailblazer Community, helping fellow community members in Answers, or sharing experiences over Twitter, the people who love to talk Salesforce are the people Salesforce's partners and users need to follow.[2] Some of them are Salesforce employees and some of them are independent consultants and community members as well as Salesforce MVPs.
